Just announced a few days ago on TVTokyo, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime series (遊☆戯☆王デュエルモンスターズ Yūgiō Dyueru Monsutāzu) will finally end. With only 2 more episodes to air, the story finally has come to close. The story of Yugioh Duel Monsters end in Episode 224 (which will air soon on TVTokyo). However, the artist Mr. Takahashi, isn’t gonna let this series go! There is a new saga of Yugioh on the way! However, this new saga has nothing to do with it’s past series – DUEL MONSTERS.

According to Janime’s review, the title of the series is Yugioh NEXT GENERATION. Unlike some animes who focus on the same original characters in every other sagas, the new Yugioh saga will be totally different, and totally new, new, new! The story tells about a new young boy who learns about the legendary Duel Monsters Game King – Yugi Mutou, along with the past of Battle City Tournaments, and so on. It seems kinda like a plot from the movie or other seasons based on the original Yugioh Duel Monsters. A new opening theme will be featured within this future series – to which will air on TVTokyo in October.
