Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V Season 2 Premieres On Nickelodeon In Germany

ARC-V Season 2, the Latest Installment of the Successful Yu-Gi-Oh! Anime Franchise, Swings into Saturday Morning Boys’ Action Block

NEW YORK, September 21, 2016 – 4K Media Inc., the Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. subsidiary that manages the licensing and marketing of the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand outside of Asia, has announced it has partnered with Nickelodeon in Germany, the digital cable and satellite television channel owned by Viacom International Media Networks, to bring the second season of “Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V” to viewers in Germany, German-speaking Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein and Alto Adige.

The announcement, made today by 4K Media’s SVP of Operations, Business and Legal Affairs Kristen Gray and Or Handelsman, Manager of Content Operations for Viacom International Media Networks, confirms the airing of “Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V Season 2” as part of the network’s Saturday morning boys’ action block, which premiered on June 25.

“Germany is a thriving market with a strong appetite for Yu-Gi-Oh!,” said Gray. “The Season 2 premiere of Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V on Nickelodeon will keep the Yu-Gi-Oh! fan base engaged with the brand and strengthen 4K Media’s relationship with the network and its parent company, Viacom.

Arc-V” is an action-packed complement to the other programs airing as part of the Saturday morning block and will benefit the channel’s schedule flow and audience retention,” added Handelsman. “We appreciate 4K Media’s commitment to growing the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand’s relationship with Viacom.”

In addition to the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game, video games and feature films, the brand includes an animated franchise, with over 700 episodes spanning from the first series “Yu-Gi-Oh!” Duel Monsters, followed by “Yu-Gi-Oh! GX,” “Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s,” “Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal” and now the fifth and latest series “Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V.” The feature film, Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions, recently opened in Japan and is due to launch outside of Asia in the first quarter of 2017.
