North America World Championship Qualifier (WCQ) 2018 in Ft. Worth, TX

 The North America World Championship Qualifier (WCQ) is an invite-only tournament, where Duelists will compete for a chance to represent North America at the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship tournament, held in Japan on August 4-5, 2018. The winner of the WCQ will receive paid travel and accommodations, along with a host of other prizes, and the title of “North America WCQ Champion 2018.” Runners-up will also receive exciting prizes.

On Friday, June 29th, Duelists who have not qualified for the WCQ can play in Last Chance Qualifiers to earn an invite for the WCQ (Last Chance Qualifiers begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 29th).  The actual WCQ itself will begin on Saturday, June 30th.

In addition to the North America World Championship Qualifier, there will be numerous Public Events to participate in during all three days.

Prizes for the North America World Championship Qualifier

Duelists that make the Top Cut at the North America WCQ will also earn World Qualifying Points.

The number of points that Duelists can earn is based on the final standings of the North America WCQ. So, if a Duelist makes the Top Cut and finishes in 64th place at the end of the event, that Duelist will earn 1 World Qualifying Point. The Duelist who finished 63rd place will earn 2 World Qualifying Points, etc.

(These points are separate from any other points earned to qualify for other KONAMI Organized Play events, i.e. Ultimate Duelist Series points used to qualify Duelists for the UDS Invitational.)

All Duelists who register for the North America World Championship Qualifier will receive a World Championship Qualifier Game Mat and a pack of World Championship Qualifier Card Sleeves.
