NEW RELEASES AND NEW TOURNAMENTS ARRIVE IN THE Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME!

Now that the holiday season is in full swing, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. is excited to share some more information about three upcoming product releases for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG), as well as announce more opportunities to Duel from home and score amazing prizes!

NEW RELEASES AND NEW TOURNAMENTS ARRIVE IN THE Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME!

As the season gets colder, competition is heating up in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG). Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KONAMI) is proud to present three hot releases in December and January, from new beginnings, to new twists on some of the game’s greatest stories. With the return of Speed Dueling, Collector’s Rares, colorful Ultra Rares and collectible dice, the Winter season’s set to deliver more of what you love. And as a holiday surprise, you’ll have more opportunities to Duel from home and score amazing prizes! Here’s what’s happening.

First up, get the set that lets you and your friends relive one of the greatest Yu-Gi-Oh! arcs of all time! The Speed Duel: Battle City Box is designed to let 8 Duelists battle it out however you see fit. The Speed Duel: Battle City Box includes over 200 cards so you can build popular strategies and harness the power of iconic cards that are new to Speed Dueling. The mighty Egyptian God Cards Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky Dragon, and The Winged Dragon of Ra descend on your Duels, while Jinzo, Dark Paladin and XYZ-Dragon Cannon fire back, and that’s just the beginning.

Build the strategies of Battle City just like Yugi, Kaiba, Espa Roba, Ishizu Ishtar, Arkana and many more. Or draft the cards between friends for different play modes! Each Speed Duel: Battle City Box includes 20 Skill Cards, 16 of which are brand new. And since the original Battle City tournament had high stakes, this version of the story holds a unique surprise as well. Each Speed Duel: Battle City Box includes a special prize pack with 8 Secret Rares from a pool of 24 cards. A mix of fan-favorites and Dueling icons get the Secret Rare treatment: gift one to each competitor, let the winner take all, or keep them for yourself! From start to finish, the Speed Duel: Battle City Box puts you in charge.

Speed Duel: Battle City Box races onto the scene December 11, with 4 Yugi Deluxe Game Mats, 4 Kaiba Deluxe Game Mats, and 228 cards: 200 Commons, 20 Skill Cards and 8 of 24 Secret Rares. MSRP: $29.99 per box.

Then, Genesis Impact marks the arrival of three brand-new strategies, starting with a new theme joining into the history of Dueling’s most storied Spellcasters like Invoked, Witchcrafter, Endymion and more!  Armed with Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, and Link Summoning, this new concordance of the 4 Spellcasters combines various Summoning Techniques for a Magical Supremacy! Unravel Dueling’s magical history in your hands!

Genesis Impact also introduces a new strategy that takes an entirely different approach to Ritual Summons; instead of matching Levels, you’ll gather Machine-type Tributes with ATK equal or greater than the ATK of the Ritual Monster you want to Summon. And this new tribe comes prepared with an even greater power: they can Ritual Summon monsters from your Graveyard. So prepare your rites! With the new Ritual supports, Summon the new Ritual Monsters with one of the highest ATK and DEF in Ritual Summoning history, and the powerhouse Ritual Monsters you’ve always wanted to play again!

Finally, get ready to go Live with Dueling’s new dynamic duo with a stunning secret! By day they’re popular livestreamers with legions of fans, but by night they [We’ve restricted access to this section. Please enter the Secret Password.] As Main Deck monsters each twin Special Summons the other, and together they work the algorithm to swing Life Points. But upgrade them to their Link Monster counterparts and you’ll unleash their true teamwork and cause calamity for your opponent!

Genesis Impact arrives on December 18, with 10 Ultra Rares, 15 Super Rares, and 35 Rares for a total of 60 cards, with 15 cards also available as Collector’s Rares. Each pack contains 7 cards: 1 Foil card and 6 Rares. MSRP: $3.99 per pack.

From there it’s time to reopen the vault: Legendary Duelists are back again! Legendary Duelists: White Dragon Abyss and Legendary Duelists: Sisters of the Rose celebrated Duelists like Seto Kaiba, Mai Valentine, Alexis Rhodes and Akiza Izinski, breathing new life into strategies like Rose Dragons, Harpies, and Blue-Eyes White Dragon! Legendary Duelists: Season 2 is your first chance for a second shot at hard-to-find cards like Kaiba’s Bingo Machine, Go!!!, Zane’s Cyberload Fusion, Mai’s Harpie Perfumer and Anna Kaboom’s Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Juggernaut Liebe. With 10 more cards than Legendary Duelists: Season 1, this sequel follow-up is bigger and better than the original.

Each box of Legendary Duelists: Season 2 comes with 1 of 10 Secret Rares, including 2 new cards never available before: 1 card for Kite’s “Galaxy-Eyes” strategy, and 1 card for Kaiba’s “Blue-Eyes” Deck. Every box will also have 2 Legendary Duelists: Season 2 packs, each with 18 cards: 15 Commons and 3 Ultra Rares. And while Legendary Duelists: Season 1 introduced colorful Ultra Rares – appearing in blue, green or purple foil lettering – every Ultra Rare in Season 2 can appear in those 3 colors, as well as the standard gold! That means more chances to find the Ultra Rare you want, and more opportunities to customize your Decks with your favorite colors.

Legendary Duelists: Season 2 is available January 22. Each box comes with 1 of several collectible dice, 30 Commons, 2 standard Ultra Rares, 4 colorful Ultra Rares and 1 Secret Rare. The complete Legendary Duelists: Season 2 set contains 131 cards: 91 Commons; 30 Ultra Rares available in standard, blue, green or purple; and 10 Secret Rares. MSRP: $14.99 per set.

Want to put your Dueling skills to the test? Yu-Gi-Oh! Day is just around the corner! On December 5 and 6, you’ll have the opportunity to Remote Duel your way to greatness, earning exclusive prizes.
