The highly anticipated Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Forbidden & Limited List update has been released, effective September 2, 2024, and it’s expected to significantly impact various decks in the meta. The Snake-Eyes deck, which has dominated the scene for several months, has seen its key cards, Snake-Eye Ash and Snake-Eyes Poplar, limited to one copy each. Despite this change, Snake-Eyes Flamberge Dragon remains unaffected, allowing the deck to remain playable, albeit with reduced consistency due to fewer Ash and Poplar cards.
In addition to changes to the Snake-Eyes deck, four Extra Deck monsters have been placed in the Forbidden category, including Fiendsmith’s Lacrima, Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess, Hot Red Dragon Archfiend King Calamity, and Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal. These removals are set to have a profound effect on the Extra Decks of many meta decks, especially considering that Apollousa is a versatile Link monster known for negating multiple monster effects, which makes this change particularly impactful.
