Duelists from around the world gather in Richmond, Virginia for the biggest Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG competition yet
Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KONAMI) has officially announced the 300th Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (YCS), 300th YCS – Richmond, VA — a major global milestone for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG). The monumental event will take place across February 14–15, 2026, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in Richmond, Virginia, marking one of the most anticipated tournaments in the series’ history.
This special 300th YCS – Richmond, VA will gather elite Duelists from around the world for a thrilling weekend of Dueling, trading, and camaraderie. The 300th YCS will also be the first of its kind to feature two separate main events — an Advanced Format competition and a new Genesys Format with a 100-Point cap.
What to Expect from the 300th YCS – Richmond 2026
Each YCS event is a two-day celebration of competition, community, and collectible card mastery. The Advanced Format Main Event will award invites to the next World Championship Qualifier, while the Genesys Format introduces new deck-building rules to keep the Dueling scene fresh and strategic.
Beyond the main tournaments, attendees can enjoy a weekend full of side events, including:
- Public Events like “Win-A-Mat” tournaments
- Speed Duel battles
- Digital competitions for Yu-Gi-Oh! DUEL LINKS (v10.3.0 required) and Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL (v2.5.0 required)
- Regional Qualifier tournaments for competitive enthusiasts

YCS Richmond Competition Details
Each Main Event will feature:
- Best 2 out of 3 Matches
- Swiss Rounds followed by a Single-Elimination Playoff Top Cut
- 50-minute time limits per Swiss Round
The final number of rounds depends on the total number of participants, ensuring every Duelist gets a fair shot before the climactic championship rounds.

Friday, February 13, 2026 – Check-In and Registration
- 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM (EST): Mandatory On-site Check-In
- 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM (EST): On-site Registration (if available)
Duelists who do not check in on Friday will forfeit their seat unless they’ve arranged alternative check-in prior by contacting ygoreg@thesidedeck.com.
Saturday, February 14, 2026 – Day 1
- 8:00 AM: Exhibit Hall opens
- 10:00 AM: Round 1 of the Advanced Format begins
- 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM: Concessions available
- After Rounds End: Standings finalized, Exhibit Hall closes
Sunday, February 15, 2026 – Day 2
- 8:45 AM: Exhibit Hall opens
- 9:00 AM: First Round of Day 2 begins
- 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM: Concessions open
- 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Final Standings posted
- 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Top Cut Single Elimination Rounds
- After the Finals: Exhibit Hall closes

How to Register for the 300th YCS Richmond
Duelists can secure their seat for the upcoming championship through online registration at https://registration.yugioh-card.com/. Space is limited, so early registration is recommended.
Key registration details:
- Registration closes when seats sell out or by Friday, February 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM (EST).
- Players must check in on-site between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM on February 13.
- Duelists who miss check-in without notice will forfeit their seat and refund.
- Failure to attend or notify staff may result in restrictions on future YCS registrations.
