Two major Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game launches bring tournament-ready Decks and groundbreaking extended art cards
Konami Digital Entertainment has announced two major Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) releases arriving in Spring 2026: Legendary Modern Decks 2026 and Rarity Collection V. Launching on March 13, 2026 and April 17, 2026, respectively, these new products are set to excite competitive Duelists and collectors alike.
From fully built, tournament-ready Decks to innovative extended art cards that break beyond traditional card frames, Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG fans have plenty to look forward to this season.
Legendary Modern Decks 2026 Launched March 13
First up is Legendary Modern Decks 2026 (MSRP: $31.99 per box), a special collector’s set featuring three complete, ready-to-play Decks built around fan-favorite themes, that released on March 13, 2026.
Each box contains 168 total cards, divided into three 55-card Decks plus a bonus 56th card per Deck. Every Deck includes:
- 1 Secret Rare
- 6 Ultra Rares
- 48 Commons
- 1 bonus Secret Rare duplicate (with a chance to be a Starlight Rare)
All three Decks come fully constructed with Main Deck and Extra Deck cards, making them immediately viable for tournament play.
Sky Striker Returns to the Spotlight
The first Deck centers on the ever-popular Sky Striker theme, originally introduced in 2018. With a recent resurgence in competitive play, Sky Striker remains a fan favorite.
Legendary Modern Decks 2026 includes classic staples alongside powerful new additions such as:
- Sky Striker Ace – Camellia
- Surgical Striker – S.P.E.C.T.R.A.
- Combined Maneuver – Engage Zero!
- Prototype Sky Striker Ace – Amatsu
This updated build strengthens the strategy while preserving the tactical control style Duelists love.
X-Saber Revival with Genesys Format Support
Next up is the long-awaited return of X-Saber, the iconic Synchro-based theme that debuted in 2009. Legendary Modern Decks 2026 introduces brand-new X-Saber support cards, foil upgrades, and compatibility with the recently announced Yu-Gi-Oh! Genesys format (revealed in late 2025).
For longtime fans, this revival delivers both nostalgia and competitive potential in one complete package.
Mitsurugi Ritual Strategy Dominates
The third Deck highlights the powerful Mitsurugi theme, first released in 2025. Despite being relatively new, Mitsurugi Decks quickly became tournament standouts thanks to their formidable Ritual-based strategy.
This Legendary Deck includes everything needed to wield Mitsurugi at full strength, alongside versatile tournament staples useful across multiple Deck builds.
Rarity Collection V Reinvents Card Design on April 17
Just over a month later, Rarity Collection V (MSRP: $5.99 per 5-card booster pack) arrives on April 17, 2026. This all-foil booster set introduces a major innovation in Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG design: extended art cards.
For the first time, select cards feature artwork that breaks beyond the traditional frame, extending into the borders—and in some cases, even behind the card text.
Extended Art Fan Favorites
Ten beloved cards receive this dramatic redesign, including:
- Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon
- Super Polymerization
- Dominus Purge
In addition, Rarity Collection V includes 58 special variant art cards featuring catchphrases, new backgrounds, and enhanced design elements.
Each booster pack guarantees:
- 1 variant art card (Ultra Rare or Starlight Rare)
- 4 additional foil cards from a pool of 80+
Pull potential is high, with chances at:
- Starlight Rares
- Collector’s Rares
- Prismatic-style Ultimate Rares
- Platinum Secret Rares
Tournament staples like Chaos Angel, Kashtira Fenrir, I:P Masquerena, and Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder also appear in the set, making it attractive for both competitive players and collectors.
