Yugi prepares for his duel with Pegasus by remembering some advice that his Grandpa gave him. As Yugi heads down to the arena, his friends cheer him on. Just before the duel starts, Tristen runs off to find Seto and Mokuba’s bodies. Pegasus chooses his deck and Croquet tells Yugi that, if he wins, he can ask Pegasus for anything, even Pegasus’ company or Duelist Kingdom. Yugi doesn’t want either of those, he just wants Pegasus to release Grandpa, Seto, and Mokuba. Pegasus agrees, as long as Yugi agrees to let Pegasus take Yugi’s soul if Yugi loses. Kaiba Corps’ board of directors watch the duel, saying that if Yugi loses, they will broadcast the duel across the world.
Yugi and Pegasus shuffle each other’s deck and the duel begins with Yugi placing a card and a monster, which Pegasus knows is Beaver Warrior. Pegasus places a card face down and then summons Red Archery Girl (1400/1500) in defense mode. Yugi knows that it’s a trap, but he knows that he can’t pass a chance to attack Pegasus. He switches Beaver Warrior (1200/1500) to attack mode and then activates the face down Horn Of The Unicorn, increasing Beaver Warrior’s attack and defense by 700 (1900/2200). Beaver Warrior attacks the Archery Girl, but Pegasus activates the Tears Of A Mermaid trap card, causing Beaver Warrior’s attack to backfire and and destroy the Horn Of The Unicorn. With Beaver Warrior’s attack back down to normal, Pegasus has the Archery Girl attack (Yugi: 1800).
Meanwhile, Tristen has found Mokuba’s body in the dungeon, but the guards know that he is there. Bakura’s Millennium Ring activates and Yami Bakura goes to find Tristen. Yugi places a monster face down and ends his turn. Pegasus plays Ryu-Ran (2200/2600) in defense mode and switches Red Archery Girl to defense mode. Pegasus reads Yugi’s mind says that Yugi’s newly drawn Summoned Skull will work well with the card’s in his hand: Spellbinding Circle, Magical Hats, Celtic Guardian, and Horn Imp. Yugi wonders how he is ever going to defeat someone who knows the cards that Yugi will play before he does.
