KONAMI DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT WARMS-UP WINTER WITH THREE NEW Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME PRODUCTS
El Segundo, Calif. (February 9, 2016) – Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KONAMI), the manufacturer of the multiple world record-holding Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) has the antidote to the winter doldrums with three new Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG products to be released this month.
KONAMI kicks-off February with the Wing Raiders special booster set hitting store shelves February 12. Wing Raiders contains brand-new Xyz cards and cards from the new Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V series, including several cards to help players power up a current Deck, or build a whole new Deck!
With the Wing Raiders booster set, Duelists can power up their Xyz strategies, like Raidraptors, with new powerful cards like Raidraptor – Satellite Cannon Falcon, an Xyz Monster that devastates your opponent’s Spell & Trap cards and uses the power of fallen Raidraptors to sap the power of an opponent’s monsters!. Duelists can also try their hand at commanding two new monster themes that’ll take their Xyz strategies to the next level – the spectral Phantom Knights and the Super Quantum mecha pilots! The Wing Raiders booster set contains 60 cards; each 9-card pack is $3.99 MSRP.
Duelists who have amassed a collection of new cards during the past few months can now show off their stash in style with Yu-Gi-Oh! Chibi Card Sleeves also releasing February 12. These glossy, premium quality tournament-legal sleeves feature the iconic Yugi – in all his super-deformed glory!
Naturally, the Chibi Sleeves go great with the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Kingdom Chibi Game Mats and the Yu-Gi-Oh! Chibi Card Case, both released last year – collect all of them to complete an awesome Chibi set. Each pack contains 50 card sleeves specifically designed for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG for $3.99 per pack.

Konami to implement a new idea called the Adjusted List.
Here’s some important news regarding the Forbidden & Limited Cards List used for high-level tournaments!
Konami constantly monitors the Decks and cards used at sanctioned events of all levels, from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series all the way down to local tournaments. Some cards and Decks are always doing better than others, and that’s okay. But we need to make sure that no Deck becomes so powerful that it drowns out the others, because you, the Duelists, have always told us that you like to have a wide variety of Decks show up at your tournaments.
There’s a lot of buzz these days about the Performapal/Performage Decks that have been growing in strength. And while we always expected this deck to be very strong (or even the strongest), it’s strangling some of the other competitive Decks right now, and we’re going to take steps to even things out a little bit.
At the same time, we don’t want to perform a knee-jerk reaction on the Forbidden & Limited Cards List, because that list isn’t just for high-end tournament play, but also for when Duelists play at their friend’s house, at school, or wherever their Dueling might take them.
So what they’re going to do is implement a new idea called the Adjusted List. The Adjusted List places additional restrictions on certain cards, but only for certain sanctioned events.
Info on the Upcoming North American Yu-Gi-Oh! Day!
Yu-Gi-Oh! Day is a day for all to celebrate Yu-Gi-Oh!, create excitement for the brand at Official Tournament Stores (OTS), and to further distinguish the OTS locations from non-OTS. Yu-Gi-Oh! Day is held simultaneously throughout North America and is scheduled to occur on either Saturday, January 30th or Sunday, January 31st, 2016.
Duelists will be able to participate in a Sanctioned tournament at all participating Official Tournament Stores, with exclusive prizes only available there. Only official Konami OTS are permitted to host a Yu-Gi-Oh! Day event. The registration fee for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Day is $5.00 USD in the United States ($5.00 CND in Canada). All players entering the Yu-Gi-Oh! Day event will receive this amount in commensurate prizing.
Where and when are the Yu-Gi-Oh! Day events?
The Yu-Gi-Oh! Days will be held on either Saturday, January 30th, 2016, or Sunday, January 31st, 2016 at select locations throughout North America. A list of locations and dates for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Day event can be found online at http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/events/ygoday/.
Please contact the OTS for exact Tournament start time.
What are the prizes for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Day tournament?
In addition to the product each Duelist receives upon entering the tournament, prize distribution will be as follows:
- First place winner, after the conclusion of the last round of Swiss, will receive an exclusive Yu-Gi-Oh! Day full size Game Mat.
- Top 8 Duelists, after the conclusion of the last round of Swiss, will each receive an exclusive Yu-Gi-Oh! Day Super Rare Token Card.
- At the OTS’s discretion, the above prizes may be supplemented with additional Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG product or accessories.
How long will the Yu-Gi-Oh! Day tournament last?
The number of Swiss rounds is determined by the number of Duelists enrolled in the tournament. Rounds in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME are 40 minutes long. Since you can play all rounds in a Swiss tournament, you should expect to be at the event for several hours.
If I’ve never been to a Yu-Gi-Oh! Day tournament, what should I expect?
Yu-Gi-Oh! Days are Tier 1 tournaments, and attract both casual and competitive Duelists who wish to celebrate the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand.
There are a lot of things you should do to make sure you are prepared before heading to the tournament.
Read over the list of things you will need for the tournament, and make sure you have everything.
You’ll have a better time at the event if you don’t have too many bulky or heavy possessions to carry around, as it can get crowded there on the floor. Think ahead while you are planning what to bring with you.

KONAMI DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT RINGS IN THE NEW YEAR WITH TWO NEW Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME PRODUCTS
El Segundo, Calif. (January 12, 2016) – With the faint scent of pine still wafting through the air and a few stray decorations not yet put away, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KONAMI) eases the post-holiday lull with two new Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) products to be released this month. Opponents will also feel the power of the Dinomists, steam-powered Pendulum dinosaurs that can land a heavy hit when a player least expects it.
