But don’t worry, Konami Digital Entertainment, GmbH has taken its place as the Japanese publisher reveals a re-branding and re-structuring of its European arm.
The company’s console, PC, arcade, mobile and new business operations will now be united under the umbrella brand of Konami Digital Entertainment with immediate effect, and comes ahead of big new 2006 releases such as Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, Pro Evolution Soccer 6 and Yu-Gi-Oh.
“These are exciting times for Konami,” said Konami Digital Entertainment president Kunio Neo. “We have a hard-earned reputation for producing cutting edge titles and stand on the cusp of a new era of video games as new formats are launched. As such, this is terrific time to grow our unified business under the new company name.”
