According to a news report over at crunchyroll, the official website for the the upcoming all-new film Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions announced today that 24-year-old Japanese actor Kento Hayashi voices a new character for the film, Aigami. The mysterious boy was already introduced in the poster visual and a teaser alongside the original main characters.
Hayashi is well-known for his appearances in the high school baseball drama Battery (2007) and the live-action film adaptation of Hikaru Nakamura’s Arakawa Under the Bridge manga (2012). He is also cast in the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Kei Sanbe’s Boku Dake ga Inai Machi manga to be released in March 2016, as Jun Shiratori. Aigami in the Yu-Gi-Oh! film is his first anime voice work.
Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions will be released in Japan on April 23, 2016. Advance tickets with a card of Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon will be available from December 12.
