Yu-Gi-Oh! Ultimate Duelist Series to be Held in Las Vegas

Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME is excited to share that the Yu-Gi-Oh! Ultimate Duelist Series (UDS) will be coming to Las Vegas. Hundreds of dueling elite will compete for the Ultimate Duelist Series Championship Belt on March 2 – 3, 2019 at Alexis Park All Suite Resort.

To compete in the Main Event all contenders must earn their invitation by gathering a minimum of 100 UDS Points by playing in Tier 2 events like Ultimate Duelist Series Qualifiers, Regionals, Dragon Duels and the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series. Duelists who have not yet qualified are still invited to play in a wide range of Public Events all weekend long. The ultimate champion will not only receive the Ultimate Duelist Series Championship Belt, but also paid travel and accommodations to the winner’s next Season Invitational, Super Rare Prize Card – Number 106: Giant Hand, Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Game Mat, Top Cut Pin, Winner Pin and 100 Duelist Series Points.

El Segundo, Calif. (February XX, 2019) – It’s time to crown another Ultimate Duelist! Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KONAMI) is bringing the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational (UDS) to the entertainment capital of the world – Las Vegas! The City of Lights will shine even brighter on March 2 – 3, as hundreds of Dueling’s elite prepare to throw down for the glitziest prize in the game: the Ultimate Duelist Series Championship Belt.

To compete in the two-day Main Event all contenders must earn their invitation by gathering a minimum of 100 UDS Points by playing in Tier 2 events like Ultimate Duelist Series Qualifiers, Regionals, Dragon Duels, and the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series. Duelists who have not yet qualified are still invited to play in a wide range of Public Events all weekend long, so whether you’re a hard-fought veteran or just discovered your inner Duelist, there’s lots to do at the UDS!

Courtesy of KONAMI the winner of the UDS Winter Invitational Main Event will earn travel and accommodations to the upcoming UDS Summer Invitational in the series, where they’ll Duel the field to defend their title. The new Champion also wins a Super Rare copy of the Number 106: Giant Hand Prize Card, Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Top Cut and Winner Pins, 100 UDS Points for next Season, and the exclusive Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Game Mat, only awarded to finishers in the Top Cut of the UDS! All competitors who make the cut to Day 2 will receive a UDS Day 2 Pin, a UDS Lanyard Medal, and a minimum of 20 UDS Points based on their finish. Registrants can redeem their UDS Points for more prizes including a UDS Lanyard Medal, UDS Points for next Season, and a 1st Round Bye in the Main Event itself.

Four weeks after the release of Savage Strike and two weeks removed from Structure Deck: Soulburner, the UDS Winter Invitational could be a hot one as Salamangreat Duelists look to break the icy grip of Sky Strikers, Thunder Dragons and Altergeists. Savage Strike threw the Dueling world a curveball at YCS Chicago, but fiery new threats will make their Championship debut in Las Vegas, setting the stage for YCS Atlanta two weeks later. With some of the game’s greatest innovators and Deck builders qualified to attend, the UDS Winter Invitational Main Event will showcase new strategies and will set new trends for the weeks to come.

Registration for the UDS Winter Invitational Main Event will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2 and all registrants must be in line by 9:45 a.m. or they will not be able to enter the tournament when it begins. Late registrants will be permitted to play, but will begin with a Round 1 Match Loss. The UDS Winter Invitational Main Event will be played in the Constructed Advanced Format.

A full schedule of Public Events available to all Duelists will also be offered on Saturday and Sunday, including 2019 Regional Qualifiers, Dragon Duel Tournaments for players born 2006 or later, Ultimate Duelist Series Qualifiers, ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!!, Win-A-Mat, Sealed Starter Deck and Structure Deck, Duelist League, Duel Links, Speed Duel, and Battle City tournaments. Sunday afternoon, Duelists who competed in Public Events will have a chance to play in one of two single-elimination Public Event Playoffs for a chance to win a UDS Invitational Top Cut Game Mat.

All Day 2 finishers will be awarded an Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Day 2 Pin, an Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Day 2 Medal, and 20 UDS Points.  If attendance is 257 – 512 Duelists, Duelists who rank 9th to 16th will also receive an Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Top Cut Game Mat.

  • Redemption Tier – 100 UDS Points – Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Lanyard; Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Pin; and 10 UDS Points (awarded for next season).
