The Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2023 Starts on August 5th

Konami Digital Entertainment Inc. has announced the official dates and venue for the much-anticipated Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2023. Taking place on August 5-6 at the Tokyo Big Sight (Tokyo International Exhibition Center) in Japan, the tournament will feature three separate tournaments for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG), Yu-Gi-Oh! DUEL LINKS, and, for the first time, the Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL.

Konami has also revealed details on qualifying rounds for Yu-Gi-Oh! DUEL LINKS and Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL. All Duelists will be able to compete in-game for the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2023 Qualifiers for a chance to battle it out in the Championship in person. Each of the eight qualified Duelists from around the world will choose their additional teammates. The format for “Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL” WCS 2023 Finals will be Team Battle, with eight teams battling it out to win the Championship.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL WCS 2023 Qualifiers begin May 15, while the Yu-Gi-Oh! DUEL LINKS WCS 2023 Qualifiers begin May 30. The full schedule of the WCS 2023 Qualifiers for both titles is as follows:

• Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL 1st Stage – 21:00 (PDT), May 15 – 20:59, May 28
• Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL Regional Qualifiers – 21:00 May 25 – 20:59, May 28
• Yu-Gi-Oh! DUEL LINKS 1st Stage – 00:30, May 30 – 21:59, June 11
• Yu-Gi-Oh! DUEL LINKS Regional Qualifiers – 22:00, June 8 – 21:59, June 11
