VIZ MEDIA DELIVERS A MANGA TRIPLE THREAT WITH THE LAUNCH OF YU-GI-OH! 3-IN-1 OMNIBUS SERIES

Catch 3 Complete Volumes Of Creator Kazuki Takahashi's Original Bestselling Fantasy Action Manga Series In New Omnibus Format

San Francisco, CA, January 13, 2015 - Viz Media, LLC (Viz Media), the largest distributor and licensor of manga and anime in North America, triples its dueling power as it announces the launch of Kazuki Takahashi's Yu-Gi-Oh! manga series in a new 3-in-1 omnibus on February 3rd.Kazuki Takahashis Yu-Gi-Oh! manga series 3-in-1 omnibus

Published under the Shonen Jump imprint, YU-GI-OH! 3-in-1, Vol. 1 is rated 'T' for Teens and will carry an MSRP of $14.99 U.S. / $16.99 CAN. It is the latest title to join Viz Media's extensive roster of 3-in-1 omnibus releases for some of manga's greatest series. Future YU-GI-OH! 3-in-1 editions will cover the entire 38-volume series and will be published quarterly for a total of 13 volumes.

Tenth-grader Yugi always had his head in some game - until he solved the Millennium Puzzle, an Egyptian artifact containing the spirit of a master gambler from the age of the pharaohs! Possessed by the puzzle, Yugi becomes Yu-Gi-Oh!, the King of Games, and challenges evildoers to the Shadow Games...weird games with high stakes and high risks!

The games begin in the opening YU-GI-OH! omnibus volume! Meet Seto Kaiba, master of the world's most dangerous collectible card game. When Kaiba discovers that Yugi's grandfather owns the incredibly rare "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" card, he will stop at nothing to get it...even if he has to duel with Yugi's dark alter ego Yu-Gi-Oh! Then, out of the sands of Egypt, the mystic Shadi has come to test Yugi's powers, which will give Yugi his greatest challenge yet. If he loses, his best friends will die!

"This new omnibus is a great way to dive into all the action of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga series for the very first time, or revisit it in a whole new way - undivided and in its entirety," says Erica Yee, Editor. "YU-GI-OH! remains the Number 1 trading card game property in the world, and the popularity of the property has also spawned several top-rated anime series, bestselling video games, and a vast array of action figures and other collectables. We look forward to even more fans discovering this tremendous manga series with the new 3-in-1 editions."

Creator Kazuki Takahashi first tried to break into the manga business in 1982, but success eluded him until YU-GI-OH! debuted in the Japanese Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1996. YU-GI-OH!'s themes of friendship and fighting, together with Takahashi's weird and imaginative monsters, soon became enormously successful, spawning a real-world card game, video games, and four anime series. In addition to the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga series, Viz Media also publishes Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, YU-GI-OH! R, YU-GI-OH! GX, and YU-GI-OH! ZEXAL.

New Yu-Gi-Oh! 20th Anniversary Teaser Trailer Shows History Of Show
Posted Tuesday, 12/23/2014 by PPNSteve

It has almost been 20 years since the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga premiered in Japan. It's time... to announce that Yugi Muto and Seto Kaiba are set for an all-new original story, and that story is coming to theaters!Yu-Gi-Oh! movie 2016 logo (Japanese)

The story of a shy young boy named Yugi Muto who had a living pharaoh spirit inside of him while he played games -- and later frivolous children's card games.

Well, in 2016 the original cast of Yu-Gi-Oh! will be returning for a brand new original story starring Yugi and his eternal rival, Seto Kaiba.

Take a look at the new teaser trailer for the Yu-Gi-Oh! movie that shows the 20 year history of the manga and anime.

Weekly Shonen Jump has also revealed the synopsis of the new Yu-gi-oh! movie premiering in 2016.

"In the past Yugi Yami and Kaiba have clashed many times!! Yami Yugi, who resides in Yūgi Muto's body, and Kaiba will have a duel that bets their prides and accepts each other's mutual experience."

So how do you feel about the return of Yugi, Seto and the gang? Will you be checking this out?

Yugi-Muto, an earnest card player and holder of the powerful Millennium Puzzle and Seta Kaiba, Yugis ruthless rival and CEO of the international company, The Kaiba Corp.
Announced earlier this year, the Yu-Gi-Oh! movie will feature an all-new story, with the same universe and cast of characters featured in the original Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series. The feature film, which will receive a theatrical release, is currently in production at 4K Media, Yu-Gi-Oh's parent company, which is also a part of Konami Digital Entertainment.

In the images, we see the series' main character and protagonist, Yugi-Muto, an earnest card player and holder of the powerful Millennium Puzzle. Seta Kaiba, also featured, is Yugi's ruthless rival and CEO of the international company, The Kaiba Corp.

Both characters are part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga series, where players pit monsters and other creatures against each other through enhanced playing cards. The series has been a successful multi-media franchise for years, with a long-running animated series, card games, video games, and more.

"We're thrilled to bring the Yu-Gi-Oh! characters back to theater screens for their enthusiastic fan base," Kristen Gray, 4K Media's senior vice president of operations, business, and legal affairs, said in a statement back in June. "It's a major piece in the robust resurgence of the brand that will have significant implications moving forward."

In addition to the title of YCS Champion, Hoban returned home with a stellar set of prizes that included an Ultra Rare YCS Ascension Sky Dragon Prize Card, an exclusive YCS Top Cut Game Mat, an invitation to the 2015 World Championship Qualifier tournament and much more!

In the Dragon Duel, an event for Duelists born in 2002 or later, Bevens used his Sealed Deck and his knowledge of the game to beat Trevor Grant, from Fullerton, CA, in a head-to-head playoff to win a mass of prizes, including a trip to Japan to attend the 2014 Jump Festa event and the coveted title of YCS Anaheim Dragon Duel Champion!
