GERMAN MANUEL RAMIREZ PIŇA SWEEPS THE COMPETITION AT THE Yu-Gi-Oh! CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES IN PERU

Yu-Gi-Oh! CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES (YCS)
El Segundo, CA - September 16, 2014 - After weeks of preparation, German Manuel Ramirez Piňa, armed with a magnificent strategy and first-rate Deck, had the successful combination to best his competition at the Yu-Gi-Oh! CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES (YCS) held at Centro de Convenciones Atlantic City in Lima. Duelists from all over Latin America made the journey to participate in Konami Digital Entertainment Inc.'s (KONAMI) premier-level Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) event.

As Duelists came geared-up with their assembled Decks on Saturday morning for Round One, Ramirez Piňa, from Lima, Peru and Dragon Duel Champion Mijail Stephano Flores Barbosa, also from Lima, Peru, assessed their Decks and prepared for an intense tournament ahead of them.

With the Preliminary Rounds of Saturday behind them, both Ramirez Piňa and Alexander Gilbert were set for Sunday's Duels and their approaches proved worthwhile as they stepped up for the final match.

Ramirez Piňa successfully played his drafted Deck to Win the YCS Event

In Sunday's Final Round, Ramirez Piňa successfully played his drafted Deck against Gilbert, from Fullerton, California's drafted Deck, who was unable to counter.

In the end, Ramirez Piňa's combination of adept Dueling dexterity and drafting skill earned him the title of YCS Lima Champion.

Meanwhile, in the Dragon Duel, an event for Duelists born in 2002 or later, Flores Barbosa faced Italo Wilder Romero Ocola in a thrilling match, and with his Shadoll Deck, played with adroit mastery to overcome his opponent.

Flores Barbosa Won the Dragon Duel with his Shadoll Deck

The final pairing had the best Duelists in a grueling match to determine the overall YCS Dragon Duel Champion.

In addition to the title of Champion, the winner of the main event also earned an all-new amazing set of prizes that included an Ultra Rare Ascension Sky Dragon YCS Prize Card, a fresh new exclusive YCS Top Cut Mat, an invitation to their 2015 World Championship Qualifier tournament and much more!

Posted Thursday, 7/17/2014 by PPNSteve

Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME BATTLE PACK 3: MONSTER LEAGUE KICKS-OFF NEW DRAFT SEASON

El Segundo, CA - July 16, 2014Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) - As the summer tournament season slips into high gear, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KONAMI) unleashes its latest Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) booster in the Battle Pack Series, the all-new Battle Pack 3: Monster League. KONAMI has corralled a slew of monsters into one powerful booster - this massive 237-card Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) set releases in stores nationwide on August 1st, 2014.

Monster League brings together a ton of surprising Monsters, Spells, and Traps to challenge a player's drafting ability, Deck-building skills, and Dueling savviness. KONAMI has specifically designed Battle Pack 3: Monster League for sealed pack play between two or more friends or for booster draft play.

Battle Pack 3: Monster League - Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) booster set

To support this, Monster League includes ten new battle-oriented cards (two new Monsters, two new Spells, and six new Traps) designed for sealed and draft play and it has a Special Tournament Rule - all Monsters are all Types. Whether in a player's Deck, extra Deck, hand, Graveyard, field, or banished, all Monsters are treated as every Monster type. The Monsters have put aside their differences, and united in one big Monster League! So, Duelists can expect to see combinations and strategies that wouldn't work otherwise, and get to play with many cards not normally seen.
Battle Pack 3: Monster League Display Box
Special cards have been a mainstay of the Battle Pack Series as Battle Pack: Epic Dawn included Starfoil Cards and Battle Pack 2: War of the Giants had Mosaic Rares. Not to be outdone, Battle Pack 3: Monster League has cool Shatterfoils!

These shattered-glass style cards use the same technology first seen in later Duel Terminal sets. All 237 cards in the set can be had as Shatterfoils. Each five-card pack (MSRP $1.99) contains three Common, one Rare, and one Shatterfoil card.

The entire 237-card Battle Pack 3: Monster League set contains:
55 Rare Cards
165 Common Cards
17 cards only available as Shatterfoils (all cards in the set are also available as Shatterfoils)

Duelists can tune in every Saturday morning for the all-new Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL animated series and classic Yu-Gi-Oh! episodes on Vortexx on The CW in the United States. In addition, Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL airs twice on Sundays on Nicktoons. In Canada, Duelists can watch episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL every Friday and Saturday on YTV!
